National Bank of Kenya is seeking dynamic and results-driven Business Bankers to support MSME growth through customer acquisition, relationship management, and credit portfolio expansion.

1. Drive MSME customer acquisition and deposit growth
2. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the branch
3. Build strong advisory relationships with clients
4. Cross-sell bank products and services
5. Manage and grow a profitable MSME loan portfolio
6. Provide market insights and feedback to improve banking products
7. Assess loan applications and conduct financial analysis
8. Perform customer due diligence including site visits and reference checks
9. Prepare credit recommendations for approval
10. Follow up on loan processing and disbursement
11. Ensure accuracy and completeness of credit documentation
12. Maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement
13. Handle customer inquiries and ensure timely resolution of complaints
14. Ensure excellent customer experience across all interactions
15. Safeguard confidentiality of customer information
16. Ensure adherence to KYC, AML and banking regulations
17. Maintain compliance with internal bank policies and procedures
18. Monitor credit risk and ensure portfolio quality
19. Support branch operations and reporting requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
2. Minimum 2+ years’ experience in sales within a financial institution
3. Experience in banking or MSME lending is an added advantage
4. Strong analytical and numerical skills
5. Knowledge of banking laws and regulations
6. Understanding of risk management and credit analysis
7. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
8. Ability to meet sales and performance targets
9. High integrity and attention to detail
