Internship Description
The AHC Internship Programme is a structured competency-based experiential learning opportunity designed to support the transition of graduates into professional healthcare practice. Selected interns will receive supervised placements, mentorship, practical healthcare exposure, and professional development opportunities across departments at AMIU and Amref Health Africa. The internship duration is 3 months.
What You Will Do
- Participate in supervised healthcare and institutional placements.
- Attend professional development and mentorship sessions.
- Support healthcare service delivery and operational activities.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and professionalism.
- Participate in competency-based assessments.
Requirements
- Must be aged between 18–35 years.
- Must be an unemployed health professional, recent graduate, or final-year student graduating in 2026 from Amref International University.
- Must hold a diploma or degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Must provide academic transcripts and one academic reference letter.
- Must have completed at least one AHC short course or approved masterclass.
- Must demonstrate commitment to ethical conduct and service delivery.
