The Data Protection Officer will establish, implement, and enforce a robust Data Protection Compliance framework and systems to ensure the hospital complies with Data Protection laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will also be part of the Data Protection Technical Committee (DPTC), responsible for implementing Information Risk and Data Protection programs within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution in Kenya
- Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Kenya
- Formal training or certification in Data Protection or Privacy Law
- Sound knowledge of the Kenya Data Protection Act and GDPR frameworks
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in privacy and data protection
- Experience in the healthcare or regulated sector is an added advantage
