The Procurement Officer : Pharmaceuticals will support pharmacy efficiency and procurement operations to ensure effective inventory management, cost control, supplier management, and compliance with healthcare procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pharmacy efficiency by ensuring 100% fill rate
- Manage optimal pharmaceutical inventory levels
- Plan procure-to-pay processes for pharmaceuticals alongside the payables accountant
- Implement procurement policies for cost management
- Support strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Work closely with pharmaceutical and inventory teams to support service delivery and cost-effectiveness
- Participate in supplier prequalification and tendering processes
Requirements
- Relevant professional membership to KISM or CIPS/PPB certification
- Professional supply chain qualification is an added advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Procurement & Logistics
- Pharmaceutical technologist certification required
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting
