Project Manager

Craft Silicon is a proudly Kenyan software house that provides software solutions for Core Banking, Micro Finance, Switching and Electronic Payments, serving over 200 finance institutions across more than 30 countries on 4 continents.

As a Project Manager at Craft Silicon, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, particularly within the software development, banking, or fintech sectors. Your duties will include developing comprehensive project plans, managing budgets and resources, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage client communications, and ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and objectives. The role requires facilitating meetings, resolving implementation challenges, and documenting lessons learned to continuously improve processes.

1. Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation to completion.
2. Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
3. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation measures.
4. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
5. Manage client communication, stakeholder expectations, and project reporting.
6. Track milestones, deliverables, and performance against agreed objectives.
7. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and quality standards.
8. Facilitate project meetings, resolve implementation challenges, and document lessons learned.

1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Possess proven project management experience, ideally within software development, banking, or fintech industries.
3. Demonstrate strong knowledge of various project management methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
4. Exhibit excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Be capable of managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and performing effectively under pressure.
6. Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are an added advantage.
