Job Description
RobotCafe is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team. This full-time position requires 2-3 years of experience in catering or confectionery, along with a BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu development, creation of daily specials, and recipe standardization.
- Oversee and participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste control to optimize costs.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with Kenyan regulations.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and culinary innovation within the team.
- Step in for the Head Chef during their absence, managing all kitchen operations effectively.
