Job Description
Outspan Teaching and Referral Hospital (OTRH), a leading Level 5 Teaching and Referral Hospital within the Outspan Global Health and Education ecosystem, is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to fill the position of Medical Officer at its Nyeri Branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and specialized care settings.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical guidelines.
- Participate in ward rounds, audits, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in patient management.
- Provide health education and patient counseling.
- Support training of interns, students, and healthcare trainees.
- Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Valid practicing license.
- Completion of internship training.
- Post-internship experience will be an added advantage.
- BLS and ACLS certification will be an added advantage.
