Job Description
The IT Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end management of IT operations, including ensuring reliable power, network, and internet connectivity, and maintaining critical systems like LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, UPS, and backup systems. The role also encompasses providing dedicated IT support for warehouse operations, managing office equipment and devices, and overseeing CCTV and security systems. A key aspect is IT security and access control, alongside delivering day-to-day IT support and service delivery within agreed SLA timelines. Furthermore, the specialist will coordinate IT support activities, supervise staff, and provide training on internal systems and e-commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure reliable power, network, and internet connectivity across all company locations, managing LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, UPS, and backup systems, and coordinating with ISPs.
- Maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), scanners, printers, and other warehouse IT systems, providing timely on-site troubleshooting during peak operations.
- Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and network devices, supporting their lifecycle management.
- Maintain CCTV systems, ensuring proper recording, storage, and retrieval of surveillance data for investigations.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, enforcing password and access control standards to prevent unauthorized access.
- Provide day-to-day IT support across office and warehouse operations, ensuring support requests are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines.
- Coordinate IT support activities and team members, supervising and supporting IT staff.
- Train employees on internal systems, e-commerce platforms, and warehouse tools, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and user guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or support roles.
- Preferred experience with multi-site IT environments, particularly in warehouse or operational settings.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for network and hardware issues.
- Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with power backup systems, including UPS and generators.
- Experience with CCTV systems.
- Basic knowledge of IT security and access control principles.
- Strong execution ability and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise a small team.
