Card Operations Officer

To ensure the efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of card operations across the entire card lifecycle, including issuance, transaction processing, reconciliation, and settlement, in line with internal policies and card scheme (Visa/Mastercard) requirements. The role is responsible for maintaining operational integrity and financial accuracy through timely reconciliation, effective resolution of exceptions, proper management of suspense accounts, and provision of accurate and reliable reporting.

1. Ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of card operations across the entire card lifecycle.
2. Manage card issuance, transaction processing, reconciliation, and settlement in line with internal policies and card scheme requirements.
3. Maintain operational integrity and financial accuracy through timely reconciliation.
4. Effectively resolve exceptions and manage suspense accounts.
5. Provide accurate and reliable reporting.

1. First Degree in Business Commerce, Economics, Finance or related field
2. 2-3 years of experience
3. At least two years’ hands-on experience in card operations
4. Strong understanding of card operations lifecycle (issuance, authorization, clearing, settlement)
5. Knowledge of VISA and Mastercard scheme rules
6. Reconciliation and suspense account management skills
7. Familiarity with card management systems and core banking platforms
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
