BasiGo is a pioneering e-mobility start-up driving a transformation in Africa’s public transportation. BasiGo provides an electric bus solution as a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to diesel buses for private operators in Kenya. At the heart of BasiGo’s innovation is our Pay-As-You-Drive model, making electric bus ownership and operation accessible and affordable for private sector operators across Africa.

We’re looking for passionate and curious Technicians who are excited to kick-start their careers in electric mobility. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) technology alongside experienced technicians in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.

1. Assist with preventive maintenance activities on electric buses.
2. Support routine vehicle inspections and servicing activities.
3. Learn and perform basic mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks under supervision.
4. Assist in cleaning, inspecting, and securing electrical connectors and components.
5. Support coolant level checks, tyre inspections, and general vehicle health checks.
6. Observe and assist during diagnostic and repair activities.
7. Learn safe handling of EV systems and workshop equipment.
8. Support documentation of maintenance activities and service reports.
9. Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to 5S standards.
10. Follow all BasiGo safety procedures, especially High Voltage (HV) safety requirements.
11. Participate in continuous learning sessions, toolbox talks, and technical training.
12. Perform any other duties assigned in support of service operations.
