Project Manager

Royal Mabati Factory Limited is a manufacturing company founded in 2005 and based in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Projects Manager drives delivery of the CIO’s digital transformation roadmap coordinating enterprise system implementations, upgrades, and cross-functional technology initiatives from initiation through go-live. The role leads project coordinators, project support staff, and systems tech interns.

1. Manage the IT project portfolio, including planning, resourcing, budgeting, and risk management for each initiative.
2. Coordinate delivery of enterprise system projects (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, MES, e-commerce, fleet) in partnership with business and vendor stakeholders.
3. Track milestones, dependencies, and benefits realization against the CIO’s digital roadmap.
4. Drive structured change management — communications, training, and support — to secure user adoption post go-live.
5. Coordinate go-live and hypercare support with the project coordinators and systems tech support team.
6. Coordinate implementation partners and vendors to keep projects aligned to scope, schedule, and cost.
7. Provide regular project status, risk, and benefits reporting to the CIO and steering committees.
8. Lead project coordinators/support staff and systems tech support interns across concurrent projects.
9. Build project management capability and disciplined delivery practices across the team.

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
2. 3-5+ years managing IT or digital transformation projects, ideally with enterprise system implementations (ERP/CRM/MES/eCommerce).
3. Strong planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
4. Experience leading change management for technology rollouts.
5. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) preferred.
6. Excellent stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
7. Strong organizational discipline across multiple concurrent projects.
8. Persuasive communication to drive adoption and manage change resistance.
