They currently serve over 15,300 farmers through partnerships with cooperatives, women farmer groups, agrovet outlets, SACCOs, and county governments.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Grant Officer to identify funding opportunities, develop high-quality grant proposals, manage donor relationships, and support grant reporting requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing funding that enables AgriTech Analytics to scale its impact among smallholder farmers across Kenya and Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and track grant, award, accelerator, and funding opportunities.
- Lead the development and submission of grant proposals and applications.
- Coordinate proposal development with technical, finance, operations, and leadership teams.
- Develop project budgets and supporting documentation.
- Maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and development partners.
- Support grant compliance and reporting requirements.
- Track grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting schedules.
- Prepare impact reports, concept notes, and donor presentations.
- Maintain a database of funding opportunities and applications.
- Support fundraising and partnership development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Business, Agriculture, Communications, International Development, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, business development, proposal development, or donor relations.
- Proven experience developing successful grant applications.
- Strong proposal writing and report writing skills.
- Excellent research, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
- Excellent writing and storytelling abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Passion for agriculture, technology, climate resilience, and social impact.
