Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer to support data collection, impact measurement, reporting, and learning across our programmes. The successful candidate will help track farmer outcomes, ensure data quality, generate reports, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage programme monitoring and reporting systems.
- Collect, verify, and analyse field data.
- Conduct baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Track farmer adoption, productivity, income, and livelihood outcomes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Support donor reporting and impact measurement.
- Train field teams on data collection tools and procedures.
- Conduct data quality checks and field verification visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Agriculture, Development Studies, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, or impact measurement.
- Experience with KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, CommCare, or similar platforms.
- Strong skills in Excel and data analysis.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Passion for agriculture, technology, and rural development.
