Senior .Net Developer

Rainforest Alliance's Technology department is responsible for developing, implementing, and realizing the strategic Digital Product Roadmap for all global business initiatives and assurance programs, including all supporting technology processes.

The Technology department at Rainforest Alliance is tasked with the development, realization, and implementation of the strategic Digital Product Roadmap, encompassing all supporting technology processes for global business initiatives and assurance programs. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and contribute to these efforts by leveraging deep expertise in .NET technologies and cloud services.

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance custom portals using .NET and C#.
2. Optimize application performance and ensure scalability for high-traffic environments.
3. Design, implement, and integrate RESTful APIs and messaging systems for seamless data exchange.
4. Work with Azure Container Apps and Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
5. Ensure compliance with industry security standards.
6. Demonstrate awareness of integrating Terraform into CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure provisioning.
7. Utilize Aspire, Docker, and containerization to streamline application deployment.
8. Develop automated testing and deployment strategies to enhance reliability.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions and innovation.
10. Work effectively within decentralized teams across multiple locations and time zones.
11. Act as a team player and influence system design and architecture.
12. Participate in product team activities, including refinements and sprint planning.
13. Align with the Architecture team, adhering to best practices and technical proficiency.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
2. At least 7 years of experience in .NET development, with expertise in .NET and C#.
3. Proven experience with RESTful API development and best practices.
4. Hands-on experience with Container Apps and DevOps pipelines.
5. Proficiency in SQL for data storage.
6. Experience with security standards and best practices for application development.
7. Practical knowledge of Docker and containerized application deployment.
8. Familiarity with testing and deployment automation tools.
9. Experience collaborating and working effectively in decentralized teams.
