Fodder Coordinator

Meat & Co, a Chill-Zone Logistics Company, is a livestock development and agribusiness organization operating across the region. The organization works to enhance food and nutrition security through sustainable, productive, and climate-resilient farming systems while strengthening fodder value chains and feed security.

The Fodder Coordinator will oversee all aspects of fodder and livestock feed supply chain management. The role includes coordinating production, procurement, storage, quality assurance, and distribution of fodder and supplementary feeds. The successful candidate will ensure livestock operations receive adequate and high-quality feed throughout the year.

1. Coordinate procurement, storage, and distribution of fodder and supplementary feeds
2. Develop annual fodder supply plans, forecasts, and contingency strategies
3. Manage relationships with fodder suppliers, seed companies, and input providers
4. Oversee pasture development, renovation, and conservation activities
5. Monitor and maintain feed quality standards through sampling and testing
6. Manage fodder inventory systems and stock records
7. Train farmers on fodder production, silage, hay-making, and ration formulation
8. Prepare reports on fodder availability, utilization, costs, and challenges

1. Tertiary qualification in Agronomy, Agriculture, Animal Science, Range Management, or related field
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in fodder production or agricultural supply chain coordination
3. Knowledge of silage making, hay production, and pasture establishment
4. Experience in supplier management and inventory control
5. Strong budgeting and MS Excel skills
6. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
