Systems Developer IT Officer

AAA Growers Limited is an agricultural and agribusiness company founded in 2000.

This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and user-friendly software applications that support and enhance AAA Growers Limited's business processes. The Systems Developer IT Officer will be responsible for driving system integration, optimizing databases, improving application performance, and continuously enhancing internal technology solutions.

1. Analyze business needs, then design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications using approved programming languages and frameworks.
2. Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and integrations between internal and third-party systems.
3. Design, maintain, and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, security, performance, and reliable backup and recovery.
4. Conduct thorough application testing, troubleshoot defects, support software releases, and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
5. Resolve system incidents, implement approved enhancements, and ensure application reliability, security, and compatibility.
6. Adhere to coding standards, utilize version control, apply secure development practices, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
7. Collaborate effectively with ICT teams and business users to deliver efficient technology solutions and provide necessary technical support and guidance.

1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
2. Possess three to five years of relevant experience in software or systems development.
3. Be proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or Go.
4. Have working knowledge of development frameworks like .NET, Spring Boot, Node.js, or Django.
5. Demonstrate experience in database design and management, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
6. Understand web technologies, RESTful APIs, JSON, and application architecture.
7. Have experience with Git-based version control, software testing, and deployment practices.
8. Possess knowledge of secure coding, application performance monitoring, and system documentation.
9. Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is an advantage.
10. Exhibit strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
11. Be capable of working both independently and collaboratively while meeting project timelines.
12. Relevant professional certifications in software development, cloud technologies, or Agile methodologies are an added advantage.
