Business Development Officer (Banks & MFIs)

Pioneer Assurance is an insurance company focused on expanding its corporate life assurance portfolio and driving growth through strategic business development.

The Business Development Officer will be instrumental in expanding Pioneer Assurance's Corporate Life Assurance portfolio, directly contributing to the company's growth and success. This involves actively acquiring new, profitable business from Banks and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and executing strategic initiatives to meet sales and revenue objectives.

1. Acquire new relationships with Banks and MFIs, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
2. Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with bank staff to foster business collaboration.
3. Work collaboratively with various internal teams to develop and execute business development strategies.
4. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
5. Consistently achieve or surpass monthly sales and revenue targets.
6. Provide comprehensive product information, conduct customer presentations, and offer frontline training support.
7. Coordinate necessary documentation, underwriting requirements, and policy issuance processes.
8. Monitor prevailing industry trends and market conditions to inform strategy.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing, or another business-related field.
2. Significant progress in professional certifications such as a Diploma in Insurance, AIIK, or CIM.
3. At least 4 years of experience in Business Development, sales, or a related field.
4. Demonstrated experience working with financial institutions.
5. Strong communication and presentation abilities.
6. A proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
7. Robust problem-solving and decision-making skills.
8. Experience in managing budgets and reviewing financial statements.
