Job Description
The Receptionist position at Freds Ranch & Resort offers a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant team dedicated to providing outstanding guest experiences in a beautiful Kenyan setting. You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and lasting impression for all guests, visitors, and callers. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently, processing payments and handling guest registration.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, taking messages accurately when necessary.
- Provide accurate information about the resort, local attractions, and services to guests.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously, escalating issues when required.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, ensuring it reflects the resort's high standards.
- Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, F&B) to fulfill guest needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Manage mail, deliveries, and courier services for the resort.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management, Front Office Operations, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with property management systems (PMS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the resort industry.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili is essential.
