Learning Experience Designer

Peek Vision is a mobile-based eye-screening and vision-care platform designed to expand access to basic vision testing, particularly in underserved or low-resource settings. It utilizes a smartphone camera and optional low-cost hardware to perform visual acuity and color-vision tests, helping to detect common refractive errors and early signs of eye disease.

As a Learning Experience Designer, you will be a key member of the Training & Support team, responsible for managing the entire learning experience lifecycle. This includes conducting learner research, designing, evaluating, and continuously improving learning programs to ensure they evolve with software updates and user needs. You will transform content from subject matter experts into engaging, learner-centric experiences that simplify complex technical concepts, making them accessible and easy to apply. Collaborating with various teams such as Partner and Customer Enablement, Product, Clinical Leads, and Partnership teams, you will develop scalable learning solutions for onboarding, product adoption, and ongoing capability development. Success in this role is measured by creating learning experiences that demonstrably boost learner confidence, customer adoption, and organizational outcomes, while also setting high standards for learning quality and governance across the learning ecosystem.

1. Design engaging digital, blended, and face-to-face learning experiences, including learner journeys, onboarding programs, certification pathways, assessments, and supporting resources, to improve user capability, confidence, and product adoption.
2. Explore and responsibly apply AI-assisted learning design to enhance quality, efficiency, and content operations.
3. Design the learner experience from technical and SME-authored content, defining the learning journey and approaches for instructional design and digital development.
4. Align learning journeys with strategic enablement models like Trainer of Trainers and Partner as Trainer, developing internal enablement resources to build team capability.
5. Apply evidence-based learning experience design principles, adult learning theory (e.g., Knowles, Kolb, ADDIE), and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to create engaging and inclusive learning.
6. Design and develop inclusive, multilingual learning for global audiences, adapting content with translation support to suit varying levels of literacy, digital literacy, English proficiency, and cultural contexts.
7. Conduct learner research, needs analysis, and skills gap analysis to inform learning design decisions, aligning research methods with product design colleagues.
8. Define measurable learning outcomes and utilize learner analytics, evaluation frameworks, and customer feedback for continuous improvement of learning effectiveness and product adoption.
9. Audit learning content and ecosystems, developing standards, templates, frameworks, and governance processes to enhance information architecture, content quality, consistency, discoverability, and scalability.
10. Partner with SMEs and cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate content discovery, learning design workshops, and content reviews.
11. Coach Partner and Customer Enablement Leads on learner-centered design principles and effective knowledge transfer.
12. Work closely with product design and the Instructional Designer through build, testing, and iteration to shape learning experiences across the product, integrating learning and product design principles into UX, microcopy, and in-app content.

1. Proven experience in Learning Experience Design or Curriculum Design, complemented by an education background, teaching qualification, and experience as a trainer or facilitator.
2. Extensive experience transforming SME-authored content into engaging, learner-centered, and build-ready content for various platforms such as LMS, in-app guidance, chatbot experiences, instructor-led training, workshops, and hands-on software training, especially for global audiences with low literacy, low digital literacy, and limited English proficiency.
3. Strong curriculum design, lesson planning, storyboarding, and learning documentation skills, with excellent learning content writing that simplifies complex technical concepts, strong visual communication, and meticulous attention to detail.
4. Solid understanding of adult learning theory and learning experience design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, Kolb Experiential Learning), with experience designing assessments, knowledge checks, and certification programs, and applying learner research, analytics, and evaluation frameworks to achieve measurable outcomes.
5. Experience collaborating with Product Design or UX teams in a software organization, comfortable interpreting designs and prototypes (e.g., Figma, Claude Design) and working within established design systems.
6. Excellent written communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated collaboration in multidisciplinary teams, a learner-first mindset, and a proactive commitment to continuous improvement.
