Job Description

The role involves programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support development of annual work plans and budgets aligned with strategic objectives
  2. Track implementation of projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery
  3. Coordinate with country partners across East, West, and Southern Africa
  4. Support design of sustainable agriculture interventions for farmers, youth, and women
  5. Track KPIs such as farmer adoption of agroecology practices and income impact
  6. Support digital MEAL systems for real-time data collection
  7. Assist in mid-term reviews and final evaluations
  8. Document lessons learned, case studies, and success stories
  9. Support representation in national and continental agroecology networks
  10. Assist in policy dialogues and stakeholder roundtables
  11. Engage with research institutions, NGOs, and development partners
  12. Prepare technical and donor progress reports
  13. Support proposal writing and fundraising efforts
  14. Maintain project data and evidence-based reporting systems
  15. Translate research findings into farmer-friendly materials
  16. Support digital knowledge-sharing platforms
  17. Assist in production of manuals, infographics, and training content

Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agroecology, Environmental Science, Development Studies or related field
  2. Minimum 7 years in programme management (NGO/development sector)
  3. Experience in agroecology or sustainable food systems projects
  4. Strong understanding of Results-Based Management (RBM) and Theory of Change
  5. Excellent donor reporting and technical writing skills
  6. Strong stakeholder engagement and networking abilities
  7. Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools
  8. Experience with digital data collection systems
