The Officer Enterprise Applications Support is responsible for maintaining the optimal functionality of critical business systems, coordinating issue resolution with internal teams and vendors, supporting system enhancements, and ensuring adherence to regulatory, risk, and operational standards to facilitate efficient banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for configuring ICT network systems and ensure efficient performance and deployment of business services.
- Manage performance monitoring of ICT resources and perform advanced diagnosis and resolution of network infrastructure, software, and hardware faults.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving issues.
- Document ICT infrastructure and manage the entire inventory.
- Offer support, including procedural documentation, for repairing network faults or setting up systems.
- Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Provide technical support to network users and handle daily administration and monitoring of network usage.
- Maintain up-to-date and consistent build specifications and documentation for core IT and IT security infrastructure.
- Participate in setting up new branches by installing, configuring, and supporting new network equipment.
- Provide general technical support to all computer users for both emergency and routine issues.
- Troubleshoot all network issues to identify and resolve problems affecting users.
- Liaise with the IT Network Manager regarding technical issues affecting branch operations and provide recommendations.
- Lead the establishment of the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing installation, and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
- Design and implement new solutions and improve the resilience of the current environment.
- Maximize network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating on optimization.
- Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments.
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access.
- Support and administer firewall environments in line with the Bank’s IT Security policy.
- Report on network operational status by gathering information and managing projects.
- Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
- Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation.
- Manage capacity and audit IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers.
- Support the implementation of Next-Generation Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Secure Web Gateways.
- Manage the support and administration of Next-Generation Firewalls, Secure Web gateways, and other network security devices.
- Implement secure remote user access and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) for secure remote work.
- Support the implementation of secure partner connections and manage site-to-site partner VPNs.
- Assess network security risks, evaluate, recommend, and implement necessary measures.
- Support the closure of audit findings within the network infrastructure.
- Train users where knowledge or skills are deficient.
- Provide IT training to branch ICT contacts on basic network configurations and VOIP telephony issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or an Information Technology-related field.
- Professional technical qualifications such as CCNA.
- Professional technical qualifications such as Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA).
- 1–2 years of experience in IT networking and infrastructure.
- Advanced understanding of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs for large-scale, complex, and high-availability LAN/WAN infrastructures.
- Knowledge of network technologies, including SD-Access and SD-WAN.
- Experience configuring and maintaining firewall appliances (e.g., Checkpoints & Cisco FTD) and VPN solutions.
- Experience with Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), network access control (NAC), and managing user access (RADIUS, TACACS+).
- Experience with IP Telephony and Unified Communications systems.
