Job Description
Collect blood specimens and support laboratory diagnostic services while ensuring patient safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity before specimen collection.
- Assess patient history and determine specimen requirements.
- Prepare patients and equipment for blood collection.
- Collect blood through venipuncture and finger-stick procedures.
- Label and prepare specimens for transportation.
- Maintain accurate patient and specimen records.
- Support laboratory testing processes when required.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Phlebotomist.
- Phlebotomy certification required.
- Knowledge of specimen handling and laboratory procedures.
- Experience with venipuncture and blood collection techniques.
- Knowledge of testing equipment and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle is an added advantage.
