To monitor and report on political parties’ activities at the constituency level to ensure adherence to the Constitution, the Political Parties Act, and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties, and to support peaceful, lawful, and transparent electoral processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring compliance by political parties with the Constitution, the Political Parties Act and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties at the constituency level;
- Liaising with relevant government agencies on the implementation of Code of Conduct for Political Parties;
- Reporting findings arising during campaigns and elections, including election petitions, to the County Monitor;
- Sensitizing political parties and candidates on the Code of Conduct for Political Parties and other relevant laws; and
- Preparing reports on the pre-election, election and post-election activities of political parties.
Requirements
- A Bachelors’ degree in any of the following fields: Laws, Public Administration, Education, Political Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in computer applications;
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Have analytical skills;
- Be competent in report writing;
- Be willing to work anywhere within Kenya;
- Must be a resident of the Constituency they wish to work; and
- Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
