Finance Manager

Royal Mabati Factory Limited is a manufacturing company founded in 2005.

To provide strategic financial leadership by overseeing financial planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, taxation, compliance, audit, financial reporting, and risk management. The Finance Manager is responsible for safeguarding company assets, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, strengthening internal controls, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving financial performance and sustainable business growth.

1. Prepare, review, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
2. Review general ledger transactions, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure integrity and accuracy.
3. Provide timely management reports and financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
4. Lead the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and departmental forecasts.
5. Develop rolling financial forecasts and long-term financial plans aligned with organizational objectives.
6. Monitor budget performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
7. Monitor and manage daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
8. Prepare cash flow forecasts and treasury reports for management review.
9. Identify and mitigate cash flow and financial risks.
10. Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
11. Monitor supplier payments while maintaining optimal cash flow.
12. Review customer accounts, collections, and outstanding balances.
13. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
14. Ensure compliance with all tax laws and statutory requirements including VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, NSSF, NHIF, Housing Levy, and other statutory obligations.
15. Oversee payroll financial compliance and reconciliation.
16. Maintain compliance with company financial policies, regulatory standards, and governance requirements.
17. Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
18. Oversee the effective utilization of ERP and accounting systems.
19. Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous process improvement.
20. Develop and strengthen internal controls across finance operations.
21. Lead, mentor, supervise, and develop finance and accounting staff.
22. Set departmental objectives, monitor performance, and conduct performance appraisals.
23. Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.
24. Support investment decisions, capital expenditure evaluations, and business expansion initiatives.
25. Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
26. Develop and maintain effective internal control systems.
27. Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures.
28. Develop and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators.
29. Analyze profitability, costs, margins, liquidity, and operational performance.
30. Investigate budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
31. Prepare management dashboards and financial performance reports.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
3. Membership with ICPAK or another recognized professional accounting body.
4. Minimum of 5–7 years’ progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
5. Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
6. Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning skills.
7. Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Sage, QuickBooks or similar).
8. Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
9. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
10. Strong leadership and people management skills.
11. Results-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
