Divine Caterers is seeking a talented and experienced Indian & Chinese Chef to join its culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian and Chinese cuisine, maintaining exceptional food quality standards, and ensuring outstanding dining experiences for clients and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of authentic Indian and Chinese dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Develop, refine, and maintain menu consistency while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure food preparation, presentation, and portioning meet company standards.
- Maintain high levels of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation.
- Monitor ingredient quality and manage food inventory efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
- Assist in menu planning and the introduction of new dishes and culinary innovations.
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations and health standards.
- Minimize food wastage through proper planning and inventory management.
- Support training and mentorship of junior kitchen staff where necessary.
- Work efficiently under pressure during peak service periods and events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Additional training or specialization in Indian and/or Chinese cuisine is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a busy commercial kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated experience preparing authentic Indian and Chinese dishes.
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, spices, ingredients, and cooking methods associated with Indian and Chinese cuisine.
- Excellent culinary and food presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
