Scholarship Description
The State Department for Higher Education has announced tuition-free scholarship opportunities for Kenyan students at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the 2026 academic year.
The scholarship programme offers Kenyan students an opportunity to study in Russia through a competitive admission process.
Available Scholarship Slots
Russian Language Preparatory Course
- Up to two (2) tuition-free places are available for students interested in undertaking a one-year Russian language preparatory course.
Bachelor's Degree Programmes
- Up to two (2) tuition-free places are available for undergraduate degree programmes at MGIMO University.
Master's Degree Programmes
- Up to two (2) tuition-free places are available for postgraduate Master's degree programmes.
Admission Process
Admission will be granted to candidates who achieve the highest scores in the entrance examinations.
The examinations will be conducted in two phases scheduled for:
- May 2026
- June 2026
Applicants are required to submit their applications before 10th May 2026
