Responsible for the day-to-day care of infant elephants, maintenance of animal facilities, health and safety compliance, reporting and ensuring excellent guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operations of the Elephant Rescue Centre.
- Assist with elephant feeding, nutrition and enrichment.
- Monitor elephant health and welfare.
- Report sick or injured elephants.
- Maintain rehabilitation and health records.
- Assist veterinary and wildlife teams.
- Maintain cleanliness of enclosures and facilities.
- Support implementation of animal welfare SOPs.
- Assist with research activities.
- Guide guests and support fundraising initiatives.
- Support health, safety and emergency response procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma in Wildlife Conservation/Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management, Conservation or related field is an added advantage.
- Experience in wildlife conservation or ecological research.
- Knowledge of wildlife ecology and conservation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Passion for wildlife conservation and animal welfare.
