Automotive Painter
Key Responsibilities
- Surface preparation – cleaning, sanding, repairing dents, and masking
- Primer application – applying etching, high-build, or sealing primers for adhesion and corrosion protection
- Basecoat spraying – applying color coats evenly and accurately
- Clearcoat finishing – sealing and protecting paintwork with gloss and UV resistance
- Polishing and detailing – buffing and finishing for quality results
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
Requirements
- Education/Training in Body Works (Trade Test Grade I / Diploma or higher)
- Proven experience in automotive painting and refinishing
- Knowledge of paint mixing, spraying techniques, and finishing processes
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
