Job Description

Automotive Painter

Key Responsibilities

  1. Surface preparation – cleaning, sanding, repairing dents, and masking
  2. Primer application – applying etching, high-build, or sealing primers for adhesion and corrosion protection
  3. Basecoat spraying – applying color coats evenly and accurately
  4. Clearcoat finishing – sealing and protecting paintwork with gloss and UV resistance
  5. Polishing and detailing – buffing and finishing for quality results
  6. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment

Requirements

  1. Education/Training in Body Works (Trade Test Grade I / Diploma or higher)
  2. Proven experience in automotive painting and refinishing
  3. Knowledge of paint mixing, spraying techniques, and finishing processes
  4. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results
  5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
