Job Description
To perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures by preparing, administering, and imaging radiopharmaceuticals while ensuring patient safety, accurate results, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review PET/CT and SPECT/CT request forms and ensure proper approval and protocoling.
- Prepare and clerk patients for nuclear medicine procedures.
- Reconstitute and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely.
- Perform PET, SPECT, and planar imaging examinations.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain departmental records and stock control.
- Conduct quality control on imaging equipment.
Requirements
- Diploma in Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- Higher Diploma in Nuclear Medicine.
- Minimum one (1) year hands-on experience in a Nuclear Medicine Unit.
- Valid license from Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KENRA).
- Proficiency in RIS and PACS systems.
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
