IT Supervisor

Amedo Centres Kenya Limited is a leading distributor and marketer of household appliances and electronic goods.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as an IT Supervisor, in this role; you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day operations of the IT department and overseeing systems infrastructure.

1. Provide technical support to staff on computer hardware, software, network systems, and related ICT equipment.
2. Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and internet connectivity and communication systems.
3. Install, configure and troubleshoot computer systems, applications, printers and other peripheral devices.
4. Ensure the security, integrity and availability of organizational data through regular backups, antivirus protection and cyber security measures.
5. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
6. Manage user accounts, access rights, email systems and ICT asset inventories.
7. Support the implementation and maintenance of organizational information systems, databases and cloud-based platforms.
8. Develop and enforce ICT policies, procedures and best practices.
9. Coordinate ICT procurement processes and liaise with vendors and service providers.
10. Conduct staff training and orientation on ICT systems, cybersecurity awareness and digital tools.
11. Prepare periodic ICT reports and provide recommendations to management on technology improvements.
12. Support digital transformation initiatives and technology-driven projects within the organization.
13. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational information security standards.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. 3 years relevant experience in IT support, systems administration or network management.
3. Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified
4. Demonstrated experience managing networks, cloud services, cyber security and ICT support services.
5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows operating systems, networking technologies and information security practices.
6. Experience with database management, backup systems and ICT asset management.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
