Job Description

Freds Ranch & Resort is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Barista to enhance our guest experience through the art of coffee. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be instrumental in creating memorable moments for our diverse clientele, from local patrons to international tourists, by serving expertly prepared beverages in a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.) according to established recipes and quality standards.
  2. Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality.
  3. Provide excellent customer service, taking orders accurately, handling payments, and engaging guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  4. Monitor and manage coffee bean inventory, milk, syrups, and other supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent stockouts.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  6. Educate guests on coffee bean selection, brewing methods, and menu offerings.
  7. Handle guest feedback and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously to ensure guest satisfaction.
  8. Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues and collaborating effectively.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a Barista, preferably within a hotel, resort, or high-volume café setting.
  2. In-depth knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, latte art, and various coffee types.
  3. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable personality.
  4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Strong attention to detail regarding beverage quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
  7. A valid food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
