Community Mobilizer

1. Coordinate effective and timely implementation of all interventions outlined under 4 Rs (Risk reduction, Risk transfer, Risk retention, Risk diversification) and any other related and cross cutting project activities.
2. Participate in the preparation of overall work plan and budget as well as develop activity plans and budgets for technical support of local value chain development interventions.
3. Support in the mobilization and registration of the Households.
4. Participate in developing different levels of progress report (weekly updates, situational reports, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports)
5. Supporting Project Quality Assurance (PQA) through organizing and supporting monitoring visits on 4 Rs interventions.
6. Collaborate with relevant ministries and other relevant partners at the County and community levels to ensure integration and high-level implementation of the planned Project activities.
7. Work together with other staff/ to ensure that key trainings meet the standard required to facilitate, provide knowledge and reinforcement of desired L&R behaviour and practices.
8. Ensure that business processes, standards and guidelines related to Livelihood & resilience initiatives are effectively applied in project implementation.
9. Make technical input into the planning and design of project specific operational researches, including baseline and end line evaluation, post distribution monitoring related to L&R.
10. Conduct continuous activity and budget analysis to ensure adherence to the approved work, budget and procurement plans.
11. Successful and timely implementation of Economic Recovery and market systems sub-Sector activities
12. Budget utilization to acceptable thresholds
13. Support in the training of the households on the 4 Rs (Risk reduction, Risk transfer, Risk retention, Risk diversification)
14. Support Training of financial inclusion groups on digitization
15. Support Continuous Coaching and Mentoring of the financial inclusion groups and reporting
16. Link the financial inclusion groups to other support services.
17. Work with communities and relevant stakeholders to identify key on-farm and off farm value chains to support
18. Support project market research on viable value chains
19. Ensure the target communities are mobilized and participate in the identified Local Value Chain Interventions
20. In consultation with other staff, government and partners sensitize and mobilize the communities to form Project Implementation units, producer groups
21. Cost effective and efficient implementation of the project interventions.
22. Support produce aggregation and marketing activities of the project
23. Work with Project Officer, local stakeholders and leaders to identify community champions/resource persons 4 Rs
24. In consultation with other staff develop capacity assessment tools for producer groups and develop a capacity development plan
25. Facilitate the capacity building of the partners and farmer groups on LVCD activities (Climate Smart Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, post-harvest management and value addition, transformational leadership)
26. Facilitate linkages of the savings groups to other bigger micro-finance product to enhance their performance
27. Ensure cross cutting themes are integrated into LVCD interventions
28. Provide technical support and timely feedback to the cluster Manager on the 4 Rs.
29. Organize meetings with key local value chain actors and farmers to forge effective support of the LVCD interventions
30. Ensure adult and child safeguarding during the implementation of the planned interventions
31. Ensure the community champions the Four Rs (Risk reduction, Risk retention, Risk diversification) have necessary monitoring tools and are trained on the same
32. Develop project monitoring and reporting schedules in collaboration with the various stakeholders
33. Work with the community champions/facilitators to continuously train, monitor and mentor the performance of financial inclusion and producer groups along identified value chains
34. Clean and Collate project performance data and ensure it is keyed into the relevant Monitoring Information System (MIS) on a monthly basis
35. Prepare weekly updates, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual progress reports
36. Documentation of key lessons learnt and successes stories from the target farmers
37. Continuously track progress of planned activities and outputs in the detailed implementation plan to ensure timely and quality implementation of plans
38. Support Monitoring and evaluation of the grant project activities in coordination with M&E and relevant stakeholders.
39. Support farmer records digitization process and performance tracking in collaboration with community resource persons and relevant private actors
40. Together with farmers, partners, conduct regular reflection and learning events
41. Support the project data collection during baseline, end line, market assessments and post distribution assessments
42. Quality and timely reporting of project interventions and assessments
43. Effective project monitoring and documentation
44. Developed and updated digital farmer records in place
45. Represent World Vision in key L&R stakeholder forum/meetings and relevant networks at the Ward, Sub-County and County levels.
46. Effective coordination with other stakeholders
47. Facilitates linkages of the financial inclusion groups and farmers groups to micro-finance institutions and skills development institutions
48. Strengthen partnerships with the county government and other partners for effective support and capacity development of the farmers for sustainability

1. Diploma certificate Agriculture/ Agricultural economics/Agricultural extension and education/Nutrition/Developmental Studies with experience in implementing a livelihood project
2. Minimum of two years’ experience working with communities in either relief or Livelihood and Resilience/Food security projects
3. Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written) with a good understanding the local dialect and context
4. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Lotus Notes (or another main email system such as Microsoft Outlook)
5. A team player, capable of building the community capacity in economic recovery aspects
6. Ability to take initiative, a team leader able to work with minimum supervision
7. Cross-cultural sensitivity and emotional maturity
8. Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts
9. Understanding and demonstrated commitment to the importance of gender and other key issues in Economic empowerment
