Job Description
The Actuarial Analyst will provide support to the Actuarial Manager for Systems and Reporting, playing a key role in driving automation, systemization, and ongoing enhancements to actuarial reporting processes across both Life and General Insurance entities within the group. This position is ideal for an actuary who enjoys working extensively with data, actuarial models, and various systems, and is keen to contribute significantly to the IFRS 17 implementation and broader financial reporting transformation initiatives at the Group level.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the automation and systemization of IFRS 17 actuarial reporting processes for Life and General Insurance entities.
- Perform data preparation, validation, and reconciliations to support actuarial modeling and reporting.
- Assist in maintaining actuarial model configurations, assumptions, and documentation.
- Support the development, testing, and enhancement of actuarial models used for valuation, reserving, and financial projections.
- Participate in the integration of actuarial models with Group reporting platforms and data systems.
- Provide testing and documentation support for system improvements and upgrades.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and subsidiary actuarial teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of actuarial outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Progress towards an actuarial qualification (IFoA, SOA, ASSA, or equivalent), with a minimum of 3 passed papers.
- A minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience.
- Working knowledge of IFRS 17 concepts and actuarial software such as Prophet, MoSes, or AXIS.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Python, or Power BI is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
