Medical Officer

Mediforte Hospital, a unit of Meditest Group, is a Nairobi-based medical facility dedicated to providing quality healthcare access to all, regardless of economic status. They believe a healthy population leads to prosperity.

The Medical Officer will be responsible for the overall care of patients, encompassing the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diverse medical conditions. This position requires a medical degree, a valid license to practice medicine, and relevant experience, with a preference for candidates holding board certification in a medical specialty.

1. Assess patient conditions, provide diagnoses, and administer appropriate treatments.
2. Create and maintain accurate patient medical records.
3. Prescribe medications and provide clear treatment instructions.
4. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
5. Oversee clinical operations, supervise medical staff, and ensure adherence to established protocols.
6. Conduct medical research as required.
7. Refer patients to specialists when necessary and coordinate patient admissions.
8. Monitor patient progress and report findings to other medical professionals.
9. Provide training and guidance to junior staff, interns, and students.
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines to maintain quality assurance.

1. Hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from a recognized institution.
2. Possess at least 2-3 years of progressive relevant experience within the healthcare industry.
3. Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council and hold a valid practicing license.
