Accounts Officer

Engineering Safety Consultants (K) Limited is a company operating in the Construction & Engineering sector, founded in 2018.

Engineering Safety Consultants (ESC) is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring statutory compliance, managing payroll and cash flow, and providing financial insights to support business operations.

1. Maintain accurate financial records and the general ledger.
2. Record and post daily financial transactions.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
4. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations.
5. Oversee budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and cost control.
6. Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy, and other statutory obligations.
7. Process payroll and statutory remittances.
8. Support audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
9. Prepare financial analysis and management reports.
10. Improve accounting systems, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
11. Safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
2. CPA (K) or an equivalent professional qualification.
3. Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience.
4. Proficiency in Odoo, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.
5. Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and statutory compliance.
