Laboratory Technologist

This is a key clinical position that will provide a critical impact on our ability to provide comprehensive primary care to our patients. We are looking for individuals who can ensure an outstanding patient experience while providing the highest quality laboratory results. This engagement is on an as-needed basis. Successful locum candidates will be contacted when opportunities become available.

1. Collect, prepare, and process samples for a diverse range of laboratory tests, adhering to established protocols and procedures
2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring they remain in optimal working condition for precise and efficient testing
3. Actively participate in quality control procedures to uphold the accuracy and timeliness of laboratory testing
4. Monitor laboratory stock levels, generate monthly orders, and implement proper storage conditions for laboratory supplies
5. Maintain accuracy in recording and interpreting test data within Electronic Medical Records
6. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing test results and findings
7. Foster a collaborative and friendly work environment by working effectively with colleagues

1. Diploma, Higher Diploma or BSC in Medical Laboratory Science
2. Current registration with KMLTTB
3. Minimum of 3 years experience in a busy Laboratory setup
4. Have a valid BLS Certificate
5. Fully proficient in a wide range of lab services, including hematology
6. Outstanding patient interaction skills and ability to collaborate well with teammates
