Quantity Surveyor

Orient Construction & Interior Design Ltd specializes in structural and interior fit-out projects, focusing on effective cost control, timely delivery, quality compliance, and value for money.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the contractual and financial elements of structural and interior fit-out projects. This role involves ensuring efficient cost management, punctual project completion, adherence to quality standards, and achieving optimal value for investments throughout the project lifecycle.

1. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
2. Manage the procurement process, including tendering, contractor evaluation, and supplier selection.
3. Administer construction and interior fit-out contracts, handling variations and claims.
4. Monitor project expenditure, certify interim payments, and generate financial reports.
5. Prepare and finalize accounts in agreement with relevant stakeholders.
6. Conduct value engineering to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
7. Proactively identify and mitigate potential cost risks throughout the project.
8. Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations.

1. Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
2. Possess professional membership with IQSK, BORAQS, or another pertinent professional body.
3. Have a minimum of 4 years of practical experience in quantity surveying.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software and tools.
5. Exhibit strong knowledge of various construction methods and materials.
6. Possess excellent numerical, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
7. Show strong attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
