Key Responsibilities
The Human Resources & Administrative Manager will lead and coordinate all HR and administrative functions to ensure operational excellence and alignment with Ubuntu Life’s values and growth objectives.
The role will oversee the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, engagement, compliance, and exit management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources Management
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
• Lead end-to-end recruitment processes
• Develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent
• Manage employer branding and candidate experience
Onboarding, Engagement & Retention
• Oversee onboarding and orientation programs
• Drive employee engagement initiatives
• Develop retention strategies to improve employee satisfaction
Performance Management & Development
• Oversee KPIs, appraisals, and performance improvement plans
• Support managers in goal setting and reviews
• Coordinate training and development programs
Employee Relations & Compliance
• Handle grievances, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws and statutory requirements
• Advise management on HR best practices
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Coordination
• Oversee compensation structures and benefits administration
• Coordinate payroll processing with finance
• Manage leave administration and attendance tracking
HR Operations & Systems
• Maintain HR data, reports, and documentation
• Implement HR systems for efficiency and scalability
• Monitor HR metrics to support decision-making
Administrative Management
• Ensure smooth coordination across departments
• Maintain effective filing systems
• Coordinate meetings, events, and internal communication
• Support leadership with administrative functions
• Oversee office administration operations
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (HR option), or related field
• Must have completed CHRP certification
• Minimum 7 years progressive HR experience
• At least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws
• Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems
