ICT Business Partner

Britam Holdings Plc is a diversified financial services group founded in 1965, operating in the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors.

Job Purpose: The role holder would champion Britam’s Technological transformation within the Segments.

1. To be the strategic adviser to the BGI and Connect Segments leadership on how to leverage on IT as a strategic enabler of business.
2. Lead delivery of IT components of all strategic IT initiatives within the BGI and Connect Segments.
3. Collaborate with the rest of the BGI and Connect Segments MANCO to drive strategic change.
4. He/ She is a change driver who influences colleagues to adapt to new technologies and ways of working.
5. Support IT infrastructure value delivery and IT PMO teams to deliver system and process enhancements.
6. Responsible for day-to-day system administration, support and maintenance tasks. Their KPIs include system availability or issue resolution SLAs.
7. Gain intimate knowledge of the BU strategic and operational imperatives, Britam’s BGI and Connect strategy and its resultant IT strategy. The Business Partner marries delivery of the Segment’s IT initiatives and Group IT initiatives ensuring the Segment and Britam Group succeed by building an IT ecosystem in line with the BGI and Connect vision of “diversified financial services group”
8. Provide a single point of contact for BGI and Connect Segments on all matters IT. They engage with the rest of the IT function to provide the BGI and Connect Segments leader with consolidated view of the status of IT operations, projects and security within the BGI and Connect Segments.
9. Advice the BGI and Connect Segments on IT risk management processes and procedures and IT capabilities required to manage segments operational risks.
10. Advice and support the segment Manco to prioritize BGI and Connect Segments IT initiatives for the year and ensure these are captured in the Group IT plan and budget.
11. Ensure the BGI and Connect Segments IT initiatives comply to the Britam Enterprise Architecture.

1. Bachelors in Computer Science/ Technology.
2. Masters in Computer Science/Technology Management is an added advantage.
3. 7-10 years’ experience in IT Services and System Development, 3-4 years of which should be in a management position.
4. Certified Business Analyst Professional – CBAP.
5. TOGAF Certified Enterprise Architect.
6. Oracle Certified Master – Java EE
7. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
8. ITIL Master, TOGAF certified
9. 5 years’ experience in covering product development and at least three of which should be in business and innovation
10. Proven experience working across functions and with multiple stakeholders.
11. A keen eye for innovation in the insurance and financial services space preferred.
12. Strong reporting and data management skills.
