Job Description
The Showroom Attendant will professionally greet showroom visitors, ascertain their requirements, and suggest suitable products. They will demonstrate product features, explain technical specifications, pricing, and benefits, while addressing customer queries. The role involves preparing sales quotations, orders, and invoices, and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions. The attendant will ensure product displays are clean, organized, and appealing, keeping marketing materials, samples, and catalogs fully stocked. They will monitor inventory, report missing or damaged stock, and ensure display equipment is safely maintained. Following up on customer leads and inquiries is crucial for achieving sales targets. The attendant will handle customer complaints professionally, escalating complex issues to management, and coordinate with stores, delivery, and technical teams for smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome showroom visitors in a professional manner, identify their requirements, and recommend suitable products.
- Demonstrate product features, explain technical specifications, pricing, and benefits, and answer customer queries.
- Prepare sales quotations, orders, invoices, and maintain precise customer interaction records.
- Maintain clean, organized, and attractive product displays, ensuring marketing brochures, samples, and catalogs are fully stocked.
- Monitor showroom inventory levels, report missing or damaged stock, and ensure display equipment is safely maintained.
- Follow up on customer leads and inquiries to support overall sales target achievement.
- Address customer complaints professionally and escalate complex operational or technical issues to management.
- Coordinate with stores, delivery, and technical teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum KCSE Secondary School Certificate or equivalent; a Certificate or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or Customer Service is an added advantage.
- Proven customer service, active listening, persuasion, and sales closing abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional presentation and conduct.
- Solid organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills under peak business hours.
- High level of personal integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a showroom team.
