Branch Manager – Kiambu

CIC Insurance Group Plc is a leading insurance company in Kenya, offering a wide range of insurance and financial services.

Reporting to the Regional Manager – Metropolitan, the role holder will be tasked to drive revenue growth in the targeted business, enhance visibility and presence in the Metropolis region, and create strong stakeholder value by overseeing efficient resource utilization and maintaining a customer-centric focus across the region.

1. Management of Intermediary relationships (broker, banks & independent agents), clients to deliver targeted premium outputs across all subsidiaries.
2. Provide leadership and support to the staff, sales and marketing team by driving the implementation of the corporate strategy, through training and motivation to achieve the organizational objectives
3. Organize and represent the company in all relevant forums e.g. cooperative societies AGMs, leaders’ meetings and seminars as they conduct Business promotions in liaison with PR staff
4. Pipeline business management, quotation processing and transmitting them to the intermediaries & clients within set TATs.
5. Enforcing of credit control compliance and debt management standard.
6. Draw up and operationalize SLAs with intermediaries for differentiated service delivery and resolve all customer complaints/inquiries promptly and professionally.
7. Adhere to inter-departmental service level standards in liaison with business leaders across all Group subsidiaries and support the daily branch operations, including sales processing, policy issuance, and claims handling.
8. Renewal follow-up to achieve the renewal retention ratios
9. Champion cross selling for corporate, retail business and support Opening up new markets and distribution channels including local check offs for Ordinary Life
10. Identify and facilitate Branch staff Resourcing requirements including recruitment, appraisal, career development, succession and resource planning, in liaison with the People and culture department
11. Coordinate all intermediary activities as they Monitor and provide market intelligence to help to identify potential for both business acquisition and strategic planning
12. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team as well as grow their intermediary portfolio.
13. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
14. Carry out performance appraisal, coaching and mentoring staff;
15. Participate in planning and budgeting for the department.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
2. Relevant Professional Qualification
3. Minimum of six (6) years’ relevant experience in a similar position, two (2) of which at supervisory level
