Manager Group Card Accounts

KCB Bank Kenya is a leading financial institution founded in 1877, operating in the Banking & Financial Services sector.

This role is responsible for management and oversight of card suspense accounts and timebound settlement, charge backs, merchant payments, card holder payments and exceptions management.

1. Ensure that Card Suspense Accounts and settlements are done within the stipulated timelines.
2. Manage charge backs, merchant payments, card holder payments and exceptions.
3. Monitor the aging balances to ensure timely exception management within defined TATs, resolution as per bank processes, clearance, and full compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
4. Responsible for the management of intercompany card accounts (KCB Group), the Nostros -that is for the group, international card schemes and local switches.
5. Manage Card operations related projects to keep up with changes in card business and regulatory changes for KCB Kenya and the Group.
6. Provide detailed analysis (MIS) and commentary of suspense and compliance reports, including root cause identification and corrective actions.
7. Provide leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement to drive team performance and alignment with business and operational goals.

1. Possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution; a master’s degree will be an added advantage.
2. Professional certification: CPA Part
3. Have a minimum of 4 years’ work experience.
4. 4 years’ experience in Banking Operations
5. 4 years’ experience in Reconciliation/ Management of suspense Accounts
6. 2 years’ experience in Card Business/ Card Operations
7. 3 years’ experience in Data Analysis & Presentation of Management Reports
8. 4 years’ experience in People Management & Stakeholder Management
