Debt Collection Agent

The Debt Collection Agent will be responsible for recovering outstanding debts by contacting debtors through various communication channels, including outbound calls, emails, and letters. This role involves negotiating repayment plans and settlements, ensuring strict adherence to the FDCPA and all other relevant regulations. Daily tasks include performing skip tracing to locate hard-to-find debtors, verifying their financial status, and meticulously documenting every interaction within the collection system. The agent is expected to consistently meet aggressive quotas for both call volume and recovery amounts.

1. Contact debtors via outbound calls, emails, and letters to recover outstanding debts.
2. Negotiate repayment plans and settlements with debtors.
3. Adhere strictly to the FDCPA and all applicable regulations.
4. Perform skip tracing to locate hard-to-find debtors.
5. Verify the financial status of debtors.
6. Accurately document every interaction in the collection system.
7. Consistently meet aggressive quotas for call volume and recovery amounts.

1. High school diploma (associate’s degree preferred).
2. At least six months of experience in collections, sales, or customer service.
3. Strong negotiation skills.
4. Excellent active listening skills.
5. Ability to thrive in a high-stress, rejection-heavy environment.
