Job Description
The Forensic Investigator Electronic at KCB Bank Kenya is responsible for implementing robust fraud prevention strategies and developing effective detection mechanisms against various fraud schemes. The role involves conducting thorough fraud risk assessments and facilitating training across the bank network to improve understanding of fraud prevention and detection. The investigator will carry out detailed fraud investigations using advanced technology and adhere to best practices, preparing comprehensive forensic and fraud investigation reports. They will also review and provide guidance within defined service level agreements to reduce potential revenue losses and aid in recovery efforts. A key aspect of the role is recommending improvements to fraud management methodologies while ensuring minimal negative impact on customers. The investigator will track fraud trends, prepare periodic summaries based on internal data and industry sources, and continuously update the fraud database to enhance overall fraud management. Additionally, the role includes undertaking other assigned duties and enhancing business-wide fraud risk awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively implement strategies to prevent fraud.
- Develop and apply mechanisms to detect fraud schemes effectively.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of fraud risks.
- Organize and deliver training on fraud prevention and detection across the bank.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, Banking, Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CFIP, CFE, CISA, CSM, or other relevant forensic investigation certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking operations.
- 5 years of analytical skills in forensic investigations, fraud prevention, and detection.
- 3 years of exposure to and familiarity with various analytical techniques (e.g., Linear, Regression, Clustering Techniques, Neural Network, Decision Trees).
- Demonstrated leadership in managing high-profile assignments in dynamic environments.
