Job Description

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving coffee mobilization initiatives, fostering business growth, and ensuring excellent customer relationships within the 33 coffee-growing counties.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute monthly work plans for AGMs, farmers’ field education days, and CMC meetings.
  2. Organize and facilitate training sessions for members, CMC, and managers.
  3. Provide regular updates to the CEO on outcomes and conduct quarterly performance reviews.
  4. Proactively market and secure Agency and brokerage contracts to increase market share.
  5. Review and renew auction and direct market contracts.
  6. Conduct marketing intelligence and promote coffee production, processing, and marketing.
  7. Collect and analyze field data on coffee production for strategic focus.
  8. Develop and maintain structured customer contact through visits.
  9. Communicate sales progress and resolve customer issues promptly.
  10. Attend customer education days and AGMs, advising on best practices.
  11. Provide growers with timely communication on sales progress and quality outcomes.
  12. Visit growers and Estates for credit discussions, analyzing applications.
  13. Evaluate repayment ability based on cash flows and coffee quality.
  14. Ensure proper recovery and documentation of credit requests.
  15. Ensure compliance with lending guidelines and Co-bank policies.
  16. Attend growers’ meetings and maintain records in line with organizational policies.
  17. Periodically assess procedures and benchmark against the market.
  18. Liaise with the warehouse department for clean coffee deliveries.
  19. Proper use and maintenance of the company motor vehicle.
  20. Adherence to motor vehicle use guidelines.
  21. Regular communication with the Fleet and Asset Manager.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration or Marketing.
  2. Diploma in an Agriculture-related field is an added advantage.
  3. Computer literacy.
  4. Minimum 3 years of experience in dealing with coffee growers.
  5. Previous experience in relationship management and customer training.
  6. Exposure to the coffee value chain.
