Branch Manager (O.C.T Branch)

I&M Bank Kenya Limited is a financial institution founded in 1974, operating in the banking and financial services sector.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading the new China Town (O.C.T) branch, focusing on business growth, customer acquisition, and operational excellence. The role involves developing and managing client relationships, achieving business targets, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a mandatory requirement to effectively serve the branch's significant Chinese-speaking clientele.

1. Drive branch business performance by achieving growth, profitability, and customer acquisition targets.
2. Develop and implement strategies to expand funded and non-funded business portfolios.
3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities from both existing and prospective customers.
4. Build and maintain strong customer relationships while upholding exceptional service standards.
5. Monitor branch sales performance and portfolio growth against agreed targets.
6. Analyze financial statements, evaluate credit requests, and provide recommendations for approval.
7. Oversee the quality of the credit portfolio, including managing loan arrears and excess drawings.
8. Ensure the timely perfection and registration of collateral and securities.
9. Lead, coach, and motivate branch staff to achieve high performance standards.
10. Manage branch operational risk, compliance, and internal controls.
11. Prepare and submit regular reports on business performance and activities.
12. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and branch efficiency.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
2. Relevant professional qualification in Banking, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline.
3. Membership in a recognized professional body is an added advantage.
4. Minimum of 10 years’ relevant banking or financial services experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
5. Mandatory fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
6. Professional proficiency in English.
