Job Description

The Sales Team Leader is responsible for designing and implementing strategic sales plans aimed at expanding the company’s customer base and strengthening market presence. The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of current sales tactics to ensure the achievement of both individual and team targets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Designing and implementing strategic sales plans aimed at expanding the company’s customer base and strengthening market presence.
  2. Developing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of current sales tactics to ensure the achievement of both individual and team targets.
  3. Achieving business growth and sales targets through effectively managing and guiding the sales team.
  4. Holding daily and weekly staff meetings to develop effective sales strategies, communicate performance standards and target expectations, and ensure their successful attainment.
  5. Organizing branch activations and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and market visibility.
  6. Conducting risk assessment and implementing risk management measures to safeguard company operations.
  7. Ensuring proper due diligence and KYC compliance on all customer accounts to mitigate fraud and operational risks.
  8. Participating in the recruitment and onboarding of sales representatives and independent agents to strengthen the sales network.
  9. Training, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of sales staff through regular performance appraisals and coaching initiatives.
  10. Communicating changes in company policies, rules, and procedures to sales staff in a timely and effective manner.
  11. Ensuring delivery of excellent customer experience to encourage customer retention, referrals, and repeat business.

Requirements

  1. HND/BSC certification.
  2. At least 2 years in a similar role
  3. Excellent leadership skills
  4. Experience in the phone financing industry is an added advantage with preference given to Mogo, Watu, Mkopa and Sunking
  5. Good communication skills.
  6. High degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  7. Attention to detail.
  8. Critical thinking skills.
  9. Computer savvy.
