Backend Developer

Work within Betalab under the Partnership and Digital department to identify requirements, design and develop solutions (database design, workflows, user/data interfaces, integrations) and offer technical support for Betalab solutions.

1. Design, develop, and maintain APIs using spring boot and Go for internal and external applications.
2. Design and develop and enterprise grade application backend
3. Optimize API performance by implementing caching, batching, and efficient query resolution.
4. Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure APIs meet business and user experience requirements.
5. Implement security best practices (authentication, authorization, rate-limiting, input validation).
6. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
7. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning.
8. Monitor, debug, and improve the performance and reliability of backend services.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a backend developer with Spring boot and C#(.NET) in production environments.
3. Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar backend languages.
4. Proficiency in Message queues (Azure Service Bus, Kafka) for async workflows
5. Strong knowledge of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle , or similar).
6. Experience with API security, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and authorization patterns.
7. Familiarity with server frameworks (Apollo Server, Express.js, NestJS, etc.).
8. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
