Job Description
Pergamon Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Hardware Technician to join its Kisii branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining ICT hardware and networking devices while supporting users with technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, and POS devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software-related ICT issues.
- Perform motherboard diagnostics and circuit tracing.
- Install operating systems and configure software.
- Support BIOS configuration, firmware updates, and device drivers.
- Maintain networking devices and ICT equipment.
- Provide technical support to users.
- Prepare technical reports and resolve ICT support issues.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or related ICT field.
- Experience in motherboard diagnostics and hardware repair.
- Knowledge of operating systems and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with BIOS configuration and firmware updates.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience with POS systems and fiscal devices.
- Certification in hardware repair or networking.
- Previous experience in a busy ICT support environment.
