Electrical Engineer

The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of electrical infrastructure while supporting CAPEX projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Lead electrical engineering projects from concept design through execution and commissioning
2. Develop project scopes, technical specifications, BOQs, and engineering drawings
3. Supervise installation of LV and MV systems, substations, transformers, motors, VFDs, switchgear, and power distribution networks
4. Manage testing and commissioning of electrical equipment
5. Oversee operation and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure high reliability and availability
6. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
7. Troubleshoot faults and conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures
8. Prepare CAPEX and OPEX budgets and monitor project costs
9. Support procurement through technical evaluations and vendor selection
10. Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components
11. Plan and supervise shutdowns, major repairs, and overhauls
12. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies
13. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reduce downtime

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
2. Master’s degree is an added advantage
3. Professional Engineering registration/certification preferred
4. Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in electrical engineering within mining, manufacturing, power, or heavy industrial environments
5. Proven experience in electrical project execution, testing, commissioning, and maintenance
6. Strong hands-on experience with transformers, motors, VFDs, switchgear, and power systems
7. Experience in CAPEX project management and budgeting
